Help me identify this Keyboard

Hi all,

Recently got this nice AT Keyboard, gave it a quick test and seems to be working fine, but I'm having a hard time identifying it.

Link doesn't work for me. (Seems to be for collaborating, not just viewing the files. In any case, they won't just load so I can look at them.) Got switch pics?

Well, that ain't no Alps beyond the mount.



My connection's being throttled while I upload a bunch of work, so the DT wiki's barely loading for me. But this is the place to start.

Datacomp DFK-171. Slider-over-something, not discrete switches. This shared the case styling with the DFK-121 (Futaba) and DFK-191 (Alps/clone).

edit: actually DFK-172 since it's the ISO version.

@Polecat, your suggestion seems to be correct. I'm not familiar with Futaba switches, but I don't think it feels quite an Alps. I no longer have an Alps kb, but from memory it feels different.

It’s non-mechanical, like Polecat says. Not surprising it’s also not in the wiki. Someone would have to care enough to take up its cause.

on the other hand, documenting it on the wiki or somewhere else easily searchable means that other folks can steer clear of it easier

Definitely not Alps or Futaba. The DFK-171/172 was the cheaper version with sliders and a one piece plastic plate, and probably a membrane underneath. The 1u caps should be Alps-compatible, but I'm not sure about the stabilized ones.
